New Illustrated Guide

Been some time since i got a Small Salamander or the brief revival at the end of the Cold War (the New Illustrated Guides). This is one of the latter, Modern Sub Hunters. Its interesting to compare it to the original Salamander released in the early 1980s. Changed more than you think! Book #47!

Warship Construction

Book #46 arrived yesterday, another Ian Allan in the form of Warship Construction. Its funny but so many books i saw in the late 80s and early 90s in the First Phase of Book Baronism but that i never was able to get... now i am!

Three is the magic number

Been quiet for a few days but 2 Ebay procurements today and i also bought something in a ...gasp... shop! First of all the Ebay books which are #43 and 44. World Army Uniforms Since 1939 is an old Blandford and a nice one, a schoolfriend once had this book and i wish i had had it too, well about 23 years later i have it! The other books is a very old Ian Allan, older than me indeed, in Warships of the British & Commonwealth Navies (2nd Edition).

Book #45 was from The Works. They obviously have too much stock as they have reduced it from 7.99 to just 1.99 and its a really nice book, it is French Air Service War Chronology 1914-1918.

May is off to a flyer

May is off to a flying start with 2 new books already. B-52 Stratofortress is an Ian Allan Modern Combat series book (i think i might aim to get one a month for the rest of the year) and is book #41 and #42 is another book for my resistance warfare study that also qualifies for the collection and is The Other Italy : Italian Resistance in World War II.

April 2009 book report

Twice in the row 12 books were achieved though it was helped by the fact 2 of the books i bought for my studies also qualified for the collection. 10 books were from Ebay and the other 2 from second-hand (or old stock) sellers on Amazon. Naval had the lion's share of procurements with 6 followed by Modern History and Air on 2 each and Pre-Modern History and Land on 1 each.

Led Zeppelin II & IV

CDs 26 and 27 return to Led Zeppelin, Led Zeppelin II and Led Zeppelin IV
in fact which i bought earlier in the week. I never really listened much to Led Zep in the past so incredibly "Stairway to heaven" still sounds quite fresh to me.
