Last IA of the month

This should be the last book of the month, and is #39. It is an Ian Allan book and very nice it is too, the book is Warships Of The World - Submarines & Fast Attack Craft.

Not an IA

I have been getting a few books for my main essay on my current OU course. The subject of the essay will be resistance to Nazism and to that end this book also qualifies as a Book Baron gain! Book #38 is thus Occupied France.

YA YA IA

Yet another Ian Allan book believe it or not! Royal Navy Destroyers Since 1945 is book #37 for the year.

Pure Pure - kong len pood dai

CD #25 and the last in the current cycle. Pure Pure's debut didn't impress me that much last year but this one sounds better.

War room refurbishment

The war room has received a bit of a clean up and some re-organisation. I have space for around 60 books (though that is 60 fairly small and average thickness books). A new bookcase will be procured in the Summer.

IA ASW

Book #36 is Anti-Submarine Warfare, another Ian Allan from the 80s, this one on ASW. Nice book, part 1 of an aborted series (the only other one was Air Defence @ Sea i believe).

Thoo Daranee - bor aow... khon kee ju

CD #24 is this debut effort, never heard of her before and her album is pretty good. Though not as good as Earn, and she is cute but not as kookily cute as Earn, who i like of course.

Earn The Star - yah mong karm kwarm sei jai

I love Earn The Star, there is something just so cute and at the same time endearingly and slightly sexily weird about her. Maybe its the teeth brace. This album is good in any case, real good. And is #23.

Depeche Mode - speak & spell

CD time again, i got a new Thai shipment yesterday but first another old DM CD which is #22 for the year. This was the Mode's first album of course and is full of awesome early 80s electronics. Fantastic.

T22

I like books on the Royal Navy and books by Ian Allan. So when you get a book like Type 22 it can only be a SURE WIN! Book #35.

Led Zeppelin I & III

I felt like getting a CD today on my trip to town but various names passed through my indecisive mind, but then as soon as i turned the ignition on in my car what was playing on the radio... stairway to heaven! It was a sign from the rock gods to get some Led Zeppelin, and HMV had a 2 for 10 British pounds offer but not unfortunately on the album with stairway to heaven on it! But that is cool, i'll get it later. We is rocking now. CDs #20 and 21.

Triple-whammy

A big day, three books arrived today at once from my current Ebay combat. Book #32 is Victoria's Enemies, the first Pre-Modern History book of the year. Book #33 is that always-welcome staple the large Salamander in the shape of Modern Naval Combat. But pride of place has to go to Military Bands and their uniforms, for it's sheer obscurity and coolness. Book #34 of course.

Kumwarn Weerawech - warn kung warn

CD #19, and the last of the current Thai batch, is this one by Kumwarn. Musically very intriguing, sounding at times like a showtune, a country tune, a cocktail tune complete with xylophone and Enya within the same line. I'm not sure i like it yet but i'm listening on.

A new old book

The latest addition, book #31, is an old Blandford book but is a recent reprint so seems to be brand new and only cost 99 new pence. Excellent. The book is Bombers, patrol & reconnaissance aircraft 1914-1919.

An old book

Many books, and most in recent months have been from the late 1970s and 1980s but this book, Warships of the British & Commonwealth Navies, is from the 60s. 1966 in fact, and is book #30. I must add the ability to list books by published date into a future version of Cherry...

Pee Saderd - pla ra kah rock

CD #18 is by P Saderd, now this guy is so cool. Harder edged Thai country rock. So get your guitar, get in your pick-up and drive off drinking ...er... soya milk.

Bua Bunchitar - yoo tee nhai jai kor kid tueng

Another batch of Thai CDs which takes me up to nearly 20, impressive considering i didn't get any in January! CD #17 is by Bua whose debut i enjoyed last year. Amazingly cute girl too.

First book of April

April's account starts off with a welcome Modern Combat Aircraft book, the one on the Harrier to be exact. Book #29 for the year. Now this of course means i got 28 books in the first 3 months of the year (thus Q1). At current rate i shall easily make my target of 106 (to give 300 in 3 years). But there is a long way to go yet, it is noticeably getting harder to find books on Ebay i haven't already got in the series/publishers i have been pursuing.
